Woman with Syringes, Fight at Emerson Hospital, Crooked Contractor: Concord Police Log

Plus, several residents called police about nuisance woodchucks and fisher cats.

Mon., June 8

  • 12:49 a.m. A loud party was reported on Harrington Avenue. Police arrived and the partygoers turned off the music and went inside.
  • 9:30 a.m. A man on Independence Road said someone used his social security number to file taxes.
  • 11:22 a.m. Staff at Kindred Nursing Home on Main Street reported a 27-year-old woman came in with syringes and other drugs.
  • 12:08 p.m. A man on Grove Street requested advice for how to remove woodchucks from his yard.
  • 6:20 p.m. A domestic dispute was reported at Emerson Hospital.
  • 10:11 a.m. A Hill Street woman called police and said her glass door was hit with a BB gun. She then called police back and said it was actually her cat scratching the door.

  • 8:53 a.m. Construction debris fell on a vehicle at the Fowler Library on Main Street.
  • 9:48 p.m. Tax fraud was reported on Wright Farm.
  • 5:47 p.m. A couple on Partridge Lane said they were the victim of identity theft.
  • 8:22 p.m. Following a traffic stop on the Union Turnpike, Jorge Ortego-Daza, 28, of Fitchburg, was charged with unlicensed driving, failure to have a vehicle up to safety standards, and failing to notify the RMV of an address change.

Wed., June 10

  • 3:41 a.m. Emerson Hospital staff said a woman who was discharged as a patient wouldn’t leave the hospital.
  • 7:06 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Bedford Street, Joanna Dovidio, 66, of Leominster, was charged with unlicensed driving.
  • 7:31 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Elm Street, Christine Thornley, 25, of Acton, was charged with driving after suspension and driving an uninsured vehicle.
  • 8:34 a.m. A fisher cat was reported on Estabrook Road.
  • 2:35 p.m. A Partridge Lane woman called police and said she was not satisfied with a contractor’s work on her home.
