4 Appear In Front Of Selectmen For Failed Alcohol Compliance Check
The selectmen are expected to make their decision and vote on possible license suspensions at their next meeting.

DEDHAM, MA — A late June compliance check by the Dedham Police Department resulted in four businesses allegedly serving an underage person alcohol.
Representatives from Legal C Bar, Aquitaine, Showcase Cinema DeLux and Studio 3 Restaurant & Bar, and Victory Grill were all in front of the selectmen Thursday for violation hearings. In each case, an underage operative entered the establishment, asked for an alcoholic beverage, and was allegedly served. With the exception of Aquitaine, the serves for the other three restaurants were fired.
All the restaurants were apologetic for the failed check, with the owner of Aquitaine calling it, “a wakeup call.”

Selectman Dennis Guilfoyle said they do the checks to make sure everyone is on their toes in case an underage person attempts to purchase alcohol.
None of the establishments denied the facts presented in reports from the Dedham Police Department. The board is expected to make a decision on their findings and vote on possible license suspensions at their next meeting.
