Beginning Jewelry Workshops
Learn to make a ring, bracelet, and/or necklace at Mother Brook Arts & Community Center!

Join Instructor Laurie Savage for three beginning jewelry workshops in November at Mother Brook Arts & Community Center. Each workshop will focus on a different project and students will go home with a completed piece of jewelry to show off. Read the descriptions below and sign up today! Space is limited.
Silver Band Ring, Saturday, November 1, 2014 - 12:00pm to 5:00pm, $85.00 REGISTER HERE
Beginning jewelry making students will learn the fundamental techniques for designing and fabricating a sterling silver textured band ring. Students will learn how to texture, file, form, solder, sand, and polish the ring. All materials will be provided, including; sterling silver, copper (for practicing techniques), solder, and sand paper. A materials fee of $30 is payable to the instructor on the day of the class. Limited to 8 students.

Bangle Bracelets (Set of 3), Sunday, November 9, 2014 - 12:00pm to 5:00pm, $85.00 REGISTER HERE
Beginning jewelry making students can continue learning in this workshop which focuses on creating a set of 3 textured bangle bracelets, one each in sterling silver, brass, and copper. Students will learn to further develop their fabrication skills, including; measurement, texturing, filing, forming, soldering, and tumbler finishing. All materials will be provided, including; sterling silver, brass, and copper (in different shaped wires), solder, and sand paper. A materials fee of $35 is payable to the instructor on the day of the class. Limited to 8 students.

Jewelry: Silver Pendant with Bezel-set Cabochon Stone, Sunday, November 23, 2014 - 12:00pm to 5:00pm, $85.00 REGISTER HERE
Beginning jewelry making students can continue learning in this workshop which focuses on creating a sterling silver pendant with bezel-set cabochon stone. Students will learn to further develop their fabrication skills, including; drilling, sawing / piercing, filing, multiple soldering techniques, making jump rings, satin finishing, and setting the stone. All materials will be provided, including; sterling silver sheet & wire, copper (for practicing techniques), cabochon stone, solder, and sand paper. A materials fee of $35 is payable to the instructor on the day of the class. Limited to 8 students.
