Boston Joins Dedham in Appeal Over Pipeline

DEDHAM, MA - The City of Boston will join Dedham in an appeal against the construction of the West Roxbury position of the Spectra Energy gas pipeline.gas pipeline.

Court documents provided to the Dedham Transcript show that the appeal was filed Feb. 29 and petitions the U.S. Court of Appeals for a review of the order that grants Spectra permission to construct a five-mile gas pipeline.

Recently, the Dedham selectmen announced that they would petition the court for a review of a denied rehearing on the approval.

Spectra Energy Spokesperson Marylee Hanley said she has not seen the petition but it confident that the court will side with the pipeline.
