Chick-fil-A, New Starbucks Coming to Dedham
The selectmen are set to hear license requests from the establishments and honor some police officers for their response to two incidents.

DEDHAM, MA — Soon, Starbucks fans in Dedham will have another location to get a coffee or frappuccino, or if chicken sandwiches and waffle fries are your preference, you're also in luck.
Thursday night, the selectmen are scheduled to hear a request for a common victualer license for Starbucks Coffee, to be located at 875 Providence Hwy. The spot is right off the highway and across the street from Legacy Place and the former Summer Shack.
Currently, there is one Starbucks in town, located down the road at the Dedham Mall.

Later that night, the board will hear a request for a common victualer license for fast food restaurant Chick-fil-A, to be located at 140 Providence Hwy., right after the Dedham Mall.
Also on tap for Thursday's meeting is a swearing-in ceremony for Police Sergeant Timothy Chaffee.

Officers Richard Flint, Richard Cawley, Matthew Blake, Michael Feeley Jr., Jason Sullivan, Steve Munchbach, and Michael Power; Detectives Richard Porro and Deborah Gonski; and Dispatchers Kimberly Durkin and Carol McCarthy will be recognized for their involvement in high speed pursuit response. Sgt. John Clements; Detective Deborah Gonski; Officers James Nikolaides, Frederick Matthies, and John Rinn; Special Police Officer Charles Mouris; and Dispatchers Kenneth Ellis and Kimberly Durkin will also be recognized for their involvement in an emotionally disturbed person response.
Thursday's meeting at Town Hall is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
