Cruiser Struck, State Trooper Injured In I-95 Crash In Dedham

The trooper and the driver of the other involved vehicle were transported to Norwood Hospital.

A state trooper was taken to the hospital after a driver crossed through some traffic cones and struck his cruiser near Exit 16A on Interstate 95 in Dedham.

According to a news release from the Massachusetts State Police, Sgt. Joseph Corbett sustained minor injuries and was taken to Norwood Hospital for treatment after the crash at about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Pamela Dambra of Framingham was traveling south on 95 when her 2003 Mercury Sable crossed over traffic cones set up for road work detail, entered the breakdown lane and struck the left side of Corbett’s state police cruiser. Dambra was also transported to Norwood Hospital for minor injuries. the press release said.

Dambra was issued a summons for operating after license suspension, marked lanes violation and failure to inspect a motor vehicle, according to the press release.

Dedham Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
