Dedham Accepting Election Nomination Papers This Month
Find out what positions are on the Dedham ballot in 2019.

DEDHAM, MA — Starting Jan. 23, town election season officially opens. Candidates can then withdraw nomination papers for the Dedham town election on April 13.
Voters in 2019 will have plenty of decisions to make with at least 13 positions up for a vote on the April ballot. Candidates have until Feb. 2o to pick up nomination papers and until Feb. 22 to submit them with 50 or more signatures from registered voters. Make sure to check back to see who's running.
The following positions will be on the ballot. All carry a term of three years, with the exception of the Housing Authority and Planning Board. Planning Board terms last five years, while Housing Authority terms will last either four or five years, pending statehouse legislation.

- Board of Selectmen (Two openings)
- Board of Assessors
- School Committee (Two openings)
- Board of Health
- Planning Board
- Public Library Board of Trustees (Two openings)
- Commissioner of Trust Fund (Two openings)
- Parks And Recreation Department
- Housing Authority - There will either be one term of four years, one term of five years, or both, pending Department of Housing regulations.
In order to vote in the 2019 town election, Dedham residents must be registered to vote by March 22.
