Dedham Lacrosse Parents Endorse Alix O’Connell For Parks And Rec.
In a letter to the editor, parents involved in Dedham Youth Lacrosse have endorsed Alix O'Connell for the Parks and Recreation Commission.
The following is a group letter to the editor from several parents of children playing youth lacrosse in Dedham. The parents are endorsing Alix O'Connell for the Parks and Recreation Commission. The election is April 13.
Dear Dedham Voters,
We are parents of children participating in Dedham Youth Lacrosse (DYL), which is managed by Alix O’Connell, who is a candidate for Parks and Recreation Commission. Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in America, and our children have greatly benefited from the fun, safe and sportsmanlike environment DYL provides. Alix’s management of this organization has been integral to its success in Dedham. We are grateful to Alix for her determination, collaborative efforts, persistence, and leadership in growing this popular sport in Dedham. We support her candidacy because we believe she has the skills, talent and expertise to make our Parks & Recreation Department better!

I hope you join us in voting for her on April 13, 2019. Alix will bring thoughtful oversight, a passion for enhancing programs and services, and fiscal responsibility to the Parks and Recreation Commission. She will seek passive recreation to accommodate all ages and abilities. Dedham will benefit greatly from her talent, intelligence and commitment.
