Dedham to Lower Water Level at Mother Brook

The work will be done as part of Dedham's ongoing effort to assess the Colburn Street Dam.

As part of Dedham’s ongoing effort to assess the Colburn Street Dam, town officials will be lowering the water level at the Mother Brook.

The water levels will be lowered in order to aid the town’s ability to perform exploratory borings and collect valuable survey information on the existing dam and its surrounding features, the town reports.

Dedham requested assistance from the Department of Conservation & Recreation with the project.

The Mother Brook is anticipated to be lowered from August 26, 2015 through August 31, 2015.
