Dedham Man Charged with Trafficking Heroin, Fentanyl

DEDHAM, MA — A months long drug investigation has resulted in the arrest of two men from Dedham and Boston, police said.

Richard Lara of Dedham and David DeLeon of Boston were arrested in their hometowns Friday as part of joint investigation between the Dedham and Boston Police Departments and charged with trafficking in heroin, distribution of heroin and distribution of fentanyl.

While executing search warrants, police say over 300 grams of heroin was seized as well as cocaine, crack cocaine, and cash. Additional charges against the suspects will be sought as a result of the seizures during the arrests and search, police said.

The investigation is remains active.
