Dedham Police Log: Fight, Stolen Tools, and More

May 23

3:06 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle on Route 1 for having an expired inspection sticker. During the traffic stop, the driver was unable to produce a license or registration. The only identification the driver was able to provide was an MBTA pass. A citation was issued to the driver after police learned that the vehicle’s insurance was revoked and the driver had a revoked license.

2:25 p.m. - Tools were reportedly stolen from a construction site in Dedham.

10:35 p.m. - A fight was reported at Terry’s Market on Louise Road. Upon arrival, police observed a man standing over another person. A witness said that the suspect, Matthew Sheehan, hit and kicked the suspect. Sheehan was arrested and taken into custody.

8:59 a.m. - The animal control officer responded to a raccoon that got its head stuck in a fence.
