Dedham Police Log: Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins

Several Dedham residents have reported break-ins in recent weeks.

The information regarding the following incidents was made available my the Dedham Police Department.

9:34 A.M., July 3: An officer responded to Tarbox Street after learning of a reported vehicle that had been broken into. The vehicle’s owner told police a Verizon cell phone was stolen during the overnight hours. The vehicle was unlocked. The officer informed the owner to keep the vehicle locked. Numerous breaks have been reported in the area in recent weeks.

10:20 A.M., July 3: Police were called to Tarbox Street after a resident reported her vehicle had been broken into. The vehicle’s owner informed police a laptop, an iPhone, Oakley sunglasses and Rayban sunglasses, were stolen from the driveway overnight. The vehicle was unlocked. Police documented the incident.

2:08 P.M., July 3: Police responded to Turner Street after learning of a reported vehicle break-in. Upon arriving at the scene, the vehicle’s owner informed an officer that his registration had been stolen overnight. The owner did not hear anything suspicious overnight. The vehicle was unlocked. The incident was documented.

2:27 P.M., July 3: Police responded to Kimball Road after learning of a reported vehicle break-in. Upon arriving at the scene, the vehicle’s owner told police her driver’s license and $20 were stolen overnight. The vehicle was locked and there were no signs of forced entry, according to police.

4:45 P.M., July 3: An officer responded to Beech Street after learning reports of two motor vehicles that had been broken into. The caller informed the responding officer that a vehicle parked in the driveway and street had been broken into during the overnight hours. Nothing was reported missing. The vehicles were unlocked.

*Several other vehicles were broken into in the Dedham area on July 3. Police warn vehicle owner’s to keep their doors locked at all times.
