Dedham Police Log: Party Spends Five Hours at Pizzeria, Refuses to Pay Bill

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Saturday, Jan. 10

At 4:46 p.m., a caller at Legacy Place reported that he pulled into a parking spot and when he exited his vehicle someone in another car was yelling at him. He and the other operator exchanged words before the other operator sped off and almost struck him while driving away. The operator who drove away was stopped by police and said she was angry that he took the parking spot but denied almost striking him. She was advised to be more cautious.

At 4:53 p.m., a caller stated that he had parked his vehicle in front of his residence at 2 a.m. and returned at 4 p.m. on January 10 to find his wallet, with debit and credit cards missing, unfolded on the passenger seat. Also missing were various gifts cards and an Xbox controller. The caller believed he forgot to lock the vehicle overnight. A record of the incident was created and the caller was advised to cancel his missing credit cards.

Sunday, Jan. 11

At 6:50 p.m., there was a retail dispute at Wicked Pizza. An officer arrived on scene and talked to the manager, who stated there was a party of four in the dining room who was refusing to pay their bill. The party was in the restaurant for roughly five hours. The officer talked to the party. One of the customers in the group had the bill in her hand and a credit card. She said she wanted to pay the bill and leave. The bill was paid and the party left without incident.
