Dedham Police Log: Teen on Bike Hit by Car, Crash on Providence Highway, and More

June 30

3:03 p.m. - Police responded to a report of a teen on a bicycle who was hit by a car on Sprague Street near Hooper Road. A witness told police that the vehicle was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Hooper and Louis Roads when the teen on the bike clipped the rear of the motor vehicle. The bike swayed back and forth before the teen lost control, flew off the bike, and hit the sidewalk. The teen was transported to a hospital.

6:42 a.m. - Admir Resende, 26 and Jennifer Simmons, 32, were arrested on Eastern Avenue.

5:00 p.m. - A vehicle traveling south on Providence Highway went through a red light and crashed into a vehicle traveling on Washington Street. One person was taken to the hospital and the driver of the car on Providence Highway was given a citation.
