At 5:33 p.m., a woman came into the Dedham police station stating she had been involved in a hit-and-run in the DSW parking lot at the Dedham Mall. The woman said an older man, possibly 70 years old, driving a motorized scooter hit the front passenger door of her vehicle. The man didn’t fall off the scooter, but the front wheel did become wedged under the woman’s vehicle. She said she asked him to wait while she called for an ambulance to check him, but the scooter driver said he wasn’t hurt and was in a rush to finish his shopping. He then rode away.

At 6:12 p.m., a vehicle flipped over after hitting a fire hydrant protective beam on Great Meadow Road.
