We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:

  • "A 750 psi high-pressure fracked gas pipeline under our commercial centers, roads, playing fields and in our residential neighborhoods. An accident/explosion would be catastrophic."
  • "Open pit wood burning. EPA says particles being released are poisonous & dangerous to one's health. Dedham should consider limiting open pit burning & follow other places."
  • "The amazing pipeline that is 15 feet from my bedroom window. That broke my gas line to my house and had to be replaced! And of course leaked gas all the time and would make my house stink. ..."
  • "Toss up between the pipeline and the drugs"
  • "A pipeline 20 feet from one's living room is a pretty big safety issue!"
  • "Drug dealers"

Is there a problem that wasn’t mentioned? Share it with us in the comments below or on our Dedham Patch Facebook page.
