Ducks Found at Riverdale Park, Ducklings Rescued From Drainpipe

Dedham Police rescued ducks in two different incidents this week.

Public safety officials have lent a helping hand to several animals in Dedham this week.

Dedham police officers on Wednesday picked up two ducks released by an unknown individual at Riverdale Park and brought them to the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham Shelter, the Dedham Police Department said.

In a similar incident on Tuesday, Dedham Animal Control Officer Jayson Tracy located and removed several ducklings in a drain pipe behind Costco, and an ARL employee retrieved the animals to take them to a wildlife rehabilitator, according to Dedham Police.
