Fight, Assault with a Baseball Bat: Dedham Police Log

February 9
7:20 a.m. - A driver on Whiting Avenue received a citation for altering an exhaust system on a motor vehicle.

6:42 a.m. - Items were taken from a motor vehicle on Solaris Road.
7:44 p.m. - Malicious damage was reported on Bridge Street. The caller told police that he heard a loud bang outside his home and when he went outside, the trash barrel and recycling bin were thrown about seven to 10 yards from where he placed them. In the snow, a set of tire marks leaving the roadway and hoping the curb towards the barrels could be seen. A search of the area did not turn up any suspects.

February 11
3:38 p.m. - While stopped in the left turn lane, a driver suffered a medical incident and accelerated through the intersection towards Bussey Street. He then struck the median strip, knocking over two signs in the process. The vehicle came to a stop for a short period of time before hitting a parked vehicle and coming to a rest in front of the fire department. The operator was transported to the hospital for a medical emergency.
9:44 p.m. - A vehicle was traveling on West Street when it came upon a branch in the road which caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and hit a fence.
February 13
3:59 p.m. - A fight was reported at Legacy Place. The man who caused the disturbance as asked to leave. He paid his tab and was transported to his home without incident.
4:53 p.m. - A person no Bussey Street told police that he was assaulted with a baseball bat. The victim did not wish to pursue the matter.
