In a letter to the editor, former State Rep. Bob Coughlin endorses Sarah Macdonald for the Dedham Selectmen:

I am writing in support of Sarah MacDonald for the Board of Selectmen. I first met Sarah when she was working as a reporter for the Transcript, covering town government and other critical issues in town. Even back then, I thought, “What a truly amazing person.” I knew she was really going to be something.

Struck by her talent for getting things done, I convinced her to leave journalism and come to work for me at the State House. Sarah was a hard worker, a clear leader, and someone who truly understood the importance of serving the people in our district. When I left government to lead MassBio, the state’s life sciences trade association, I knew I couldn’t do the job I needed to do without Sarah, and I convinced her to come aboard.

What makes Sarah so special is her uncanny ability to accomplish things – to get things done. And here in Dedham, there is lots to be done. Sarah is the best person to make that happen. She can bring together parties with opposing views to collaborate and achieve common ground. She has the background, experience, and expertise to be an effective and transformative member of the Board of Selectmen.
