Interim Dedham Library Director Named

DEDHAM, MA - The former head of the Brookline public libraries will temporarily lead the Dedham Public Library.

James “Chuck” Flaherty was appointed to the interim position by the Dedham Library Trustees according to the Boston Globe. He starts March 17 and will assist with the search for a permanent replacement.

Flaherty spent 21 years as a library director in Brookline before retiring in 2014. The Dedham native currently lives in Billerica and has over four decades of experience.
