July 4 2017: Where To See Fireworks Near Dedham
Independence Day is quickly approaching!

DEDHAM, MA — It's almost Fourth of July and that means fireworks. But where can you go watch and when are they, anyway? We've got you covered. Dedham doesn't set off fireworks, but there are plenty of spots to catch displays.

Needham:

The celebration starts at 5 p.m. on July 3 with food tents, drinks, ice cream, and more! Here the full schedule of events at Memorial Park:
- 5–8:45 p.m. - Food tents, grilled food, beverages, ice cream, cotton candy, and more
- 5:30–8:00 p.m. - Children’s Entertainment - Pony rides, face painting, and more
- 7–9:15 p.m. - Live music from Reminisants
- After dark – Fireworks

Tuesday, July 4, 10 a.m. – Noon, Newton Centre Playground at Tyler Terrace.
Free event for children ages 3 – 12 years. Children and families are invited to join in the Grande Pet Parade, Decorated Doll Carriage Promenade, Teddy Bear Parade and Foot Races. Free ice cream, candy and drinks complete the morning celebration – courtesy of Cabot’s Ice Cream.
Noon – 10 p.m. – Albemarle Field/Halloran Sports Complex
Kiddie amusement rides, craft vendor booths, food vendor booths, face painting and other childrens’ activities. The entertainment at the Gazebo is provided by Constantine the Magician, the YCCA Band and a Caribbean performance by D’Allegro Band from DESFOB, Inc. Then, the fun moves over to the main stage, with more free music and dancing from 6 – 9pm. Bring lawn chairs, try out the delicious food from the many food trucks and pick up your light-up novelties.

Canton:
The fun at the Irish Cultural Centre starts at 6 p.m., where there will be inflatables, face painting and airbrush tattoos for kids. Live music starts at 7 p.m., followed by the fireworks display at 9 p.m.
Food and beverage will be available for purchase. No coolers are allowed. Attendees should be prepared to have their bags checked upon arrival.
Sharon:
Here's a look at the activities at Lake Massapoag on July 3:
- 4:00 p.m.- Bicycle and Doll Carriage Parade - the parade will travel on Beach Street to the bandstand. (Line up at Beech Tree Park [corner of Pond St and Beach Street] at 3:45 PM, and admire all the decorations!)
- 4 - 6 p.m. - the ReMax balloon will be set up at the high school fields (across the street from the entrance to Memorial Park Beach, with free balloon rides!
- 4:30 - 9:30 p.m. - Lakeside Celebration, including: Face painting and craft activities, the fifth annual Sharon Food Truck Fair, live music, and more
- 9:30 p.m. - Fireworks over Lake Massapoag
