Movie Filmed In Dedham District Court Comes Out Friday

DEDHAM, MA — If a portion of the new movie "Detroit" looks familiar, that's because it was filmed in Dedham.

The Kathryn Bigelow project on the 1967 Detroit Riots comes out Friday and was filmed in the area of Dedham District Court and Norfolk Superior Court. Much of the movie was filmed in the Boston area, including Brockton, which was transformed into the Michigan city for the film.

The movie stars Hannah Murray, Will Poulter, Jack Reynor, Anthony Mackie, Joseph David-Jones, and John Boyega.
