New Documentary Film Series Begins In Dedham September 19th
Each screening will include a reception beforehand and after the film a panel will address the issues presented as well as answer questions.
From Rise Doc Films: RISE Documentary Films was founded by a group of local women interested in the unique power of documentaries to inform, inspire dialogue and create social and environmental change as well as to build community. Each screening will include a reception beforehand, and after the film a panel will address the issues presented as well as answer audience questions.
Motherbrook Arts and Community Center is partnering with RISE and will host the screenings. The first of the five 2017-18 films, I Am Jane Doe, examines the scourge of child sex trafficking in America and the online classifieds site that allows it to thrive. It was produced by Westwood resident
Linda Cabot and directed by Wellesley resident Mary Mazzio, who will be a part of the panel, along with John Montgomery from the law firm Ropes & Gray and Lisa Goldblatt Grace from My Life My Choice.
