In the following letter to the editor, Patricia Sampson tells other Dedham residents why she's voting for Dimitria Sullivan for Selectmen. The town elections is Saturday, April 13.
On April 13th , 2019 the voters of Dedham will be face a pivotal decision in choosing who to elect to the Board of Selectmen. They will be the next leaders of this town, deciding on matters from purchases to policies. They have to ability to make decisions with little oversight and are entrusted by the voters to act in the best interest of all residents. Dedham residents are dealing with rising property taxes alongside a rise in commercial development. They will be choosing our next Town Manager, just as they did in 2014. We need new leadership to effect true change and to move our town forward.
There has never been a more critical time in our town for choosing the right leaders. The very landscape of our town depends on it. Ask questions and choose wisely. On April 13 th I will be voting for Dimitria Sullivan for Selectman. Dimitria has a long history of serving this town in many areas, including School Committee, Capital Expenditure and DEP. She created “Dancing with the Dedham Stars”, which to date has raised over $150,000 to support educational and youth programs. She is fiscally astute with a history of finding and securing grants. She has every skill and quality necessary to lead our town forward. Please join me in voting for Dimitria Sullivan for Selectman on Saturday, April 13th.
