Police Log: Homeless Woman Arrested, Shoplifting Reported

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Saturday, Dec. 14

At 5:53 p.m., Dedham police received a report of two individuals who allegedly shoplifted from a business on Providence Highway, leaving with four comforter sets worth more than $1,600.  

At 10:10 p.m., police received a report of larceny on Veterans Road, during which a laptop and jewelry were stolen.

Friday, Dec. 13

At 6:56 p.m., police received a Be-On-the-Lookout request from a neighboring agency regarding a missing juvenile from a group home in Quincy; the individual was reportedly seen in the vicinity of Dedham High School.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

At 4:56 p.m., police received a report of a hit-and-run accident on Milton Street in which a vehicle was struck.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

At 10:32 a.m., Dedham Police arrested a 24-year-old homeless woman on West Street in Dedham on a warrant. 

At 10:48 a.m., police received a report of larceny on Carematrix Drive, where two rings had been reportedly stolen.

Monday, Dec. 9

At 8:18 a.m., Dedham Police received a report of malicious damage behind a property on Sandy Valley Road. 

At 4:40 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle that had been broken into on Providence Highway. 

At 4:41 p.m., Police placed three juveniles into custody after receiving a report of shoplifting at Sears on Providence Highway. The juveniles were reportedly removing "hunting knives" from the packaging and concealing them in a backpack before attempting to leave the store. 

At 6:27 p.m., police received a report of a smashed vehicle window on Providence Highway; a computer bag containing a computer was reportedly stolen from the vehicle. 

At 8:07 p.m., police received report of two shoplifters who fled the scene on Providence Highway in a four-door silver vehicle, possibly a Toyota model. One individual was described as being female wearing a black and white rain jacket, and another being a male wearing a brown trucker hat.
