Police Log: Suspected Shoplifter at Old Navy, Pot Smokers at Endicott Station

Monday, Jan. 27
At 9:01 p.m., police responded to Whitehall Street after receiving a report of damage to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival officers located a vehicle parked in the front of a house; the windshield, passenger side front and rear windows of which had all been smashed out. The owners of the vehicle said they had been inside of their home watching television when they heard a banging noise outside, according to police records, but could not locate anyone outside.

At 1:56 p.m., police cited a Roslindale man on Cedar Street after pulling him over for refusing to produce a license.
At 6:14 p.m., police responded to Old Navy after receiving a report of an unwanted person suspected of shoplifting earlier in the month. Employees at the store stated the individual did not take anything but when approached, he ran out of the store and jumped into a dumpster.

Friday, Jan. 31
At 4:36 p.m., police responded to the Endicott Train Station after receiving a report of youths smoking marijuana in a black Honda Accord. Upon arrival, police located the vehicle and spoke with several occupants who reportedly emitted a heavy odor of burnt marijuana emanating from their clothing, according to police records.
Saturday, Feb. 1
At 2:15 p.m., police arrested a 25-year-old Dedham woman on a warrant.
At 3:51 p.m., police arrested a 37-year-old Dedham woman for disturbing the peace in the area of Curve Street.
Sunday, Feb. 2
At 10 a.m., police responded to Providence Highway after receiving a report of a male exposing himself while walking along the road. Upon arrival, police spoke with the man and asked the person reporting the incident to arrive at the scene to identify the person. When the person arrived, he showed police a picture on his phone of the person he saw and police determined that the man in the picture had been wearing different clothing and the person they stopped was not the man in question. Police searched the area for the correct suspect with negative results.
