Police Log: Traffic Stop Arrest, Tires Stolen Off Car, Vehicle Theft
A check on recent police-involved incidents in Dedham.

The information regarding the following police-involved incidents was provided by the Dedham Police Department.
August 4: Just before noon time, an officer pulled over a man driving on Washington Street after spotting an expired inspection sticker. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer noticed a passenger without a seatbelt on. The passenger, James Hutchins, was later arrested after an identification check showed four outstanding arrest warrants. The driver was cited for operating with a suspended license and will face a date in court.
August 5: An officer responded to a residence on Crane Street just after 8 a.m. for a report of four tires stolen off a vehicle. The officer noticed an Acura TL sitting on rocks with all four tires missing. The owner told the officer he walked outside to find his car like that. Police say a white sedan could be linked to the incident.

August 5: Just before 5:30 p.m., an officer responded to Milton Street on a report of a vehicle that had been stolen out of Big Jack’s Towing lot. A check of the area yielded no results. The lot’s owner said the car had been towed their on a prior night. The car’s owner supposedly showed up at the lot and stole the car without paying an outstanding bill.
