Special Town Meeting To Take Up Manor Fields Project Called Off
A vote for a proposed $14 million complex at Manor Fields was recently canceled.

DEDHAM, MA — A vote for a proposed $14 million complex at Manor Fields was recently canceled.
At the request of the parks and recreation commission, the selectmen voted late last month to cancel the Special Town Meeting for the Manor Fields proposal. The plan called for two lighted multi-purpose fields, five lighted tennis courts, two lighted basketball courts, a fully accessible playground, 1.5 miles of trails through preserved conservation area, two dog parks, restrooms, bocce courts, and parking for 170 cars.
In a post on the Manor Fields Park Facebook page, parks and recreation commission Chairman Jim Maher wrote that the plan addressed a number of community needs and would have been the second fully engineered park in town.
