Suspect Attempts to Flee from Police, Larceny: Police Log
Plus, a woman is charged with larceny.

January 22
1:18 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Providence Highway, a driver received a summons for operating with a suspended license.

1:33 a.m. - An attempted break-in was reported.
6:29 a.m. - Police attempted to service a warrant for Tiago Oliveria. Upon arriving at the home, police asked for Oliveria, who apparently ran from the home. Police said they could hear rapid footsteps and crunching on the ice. While checking the area, officer John Rinn wrote in his police report that he could hear broken sticks rustling about in the area. Police were able to catch up with Oliveria and he was arrested on a warrant at gunpoint.

3:19 p.m. - A shoplifter was reported at a business on Bussey Street. Upon arrival, the officer was told by loss management that the suspect was seen putting $89 worth of merchandise in her bag. All the items were recovered and the suspect was verbally trespassed.
4:00 p.m. - Animal Control responded to a report of a hawk trapped in a garage.
5:39 p.m. - A car crash with injuries was reported on Providence Highway. According to police, a vehicle on Route 1 South rear-ended another vehicle. Both drivers were transported to Norwood Hospital.
7:07 p.m. - Police received a report of a shoplifter at the Dedham Mall. The loss prevention staffer told police that they observed a female take numerous pieces of clothing. The woman, identified as Jennifer Wooten, 50, didn’t deny stealing the merchandise and was arrested and charged with larceny over $250. The value of the items stolen was about $285.
10:39 p.m. - Vuet Nguyen, 21, was arrested on Providence Highway and charged with credit card fraud.
January 23
11:05 a.m. - A housebreak was reported.
12:37 p.m. - A stolen vehicle was reported at Legacy Place.
12:38 p.m. - A break-in was reported.
