Dedham Community House Summer Camp: A Summer Kids Look Forward To Dedham Community House Summer Camp sits in the heart of Dedham and has served local families for more than 100 years. We offer a full-day program for children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. Each day is active, varied, and fun. Campers stay engaged from start to finish: Daily swim in our outdoor pool Archery Arts and crafts Makerspace projects Science activities Rec room games and indoor play Group games and special events Our staff show up prepared and engaged. Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program We offer a free CIT program for students entering 8th and 9th grade. Owner Katerina Iliades, whose family has served the Boston Greek community for decades, says many of the foods enjoyed during Lent reflect long-standing Greek culinary traditions. “Lent is a forty-day season leading up to Easter when many families embrace traditional fasting foods rooted in the Mediterranean diet,” says Iliades. “The dishes enjoyed during this time — from beans and vegetables to seafood and olive oil — have been part of Greek culinary traditions for centuries.” During the Lenten season, many Christians avoid meat and dairy, turning instead to a vibrant variety of Mediterranean dishes that are naturally plant-based and deeply rooted in Greek culinary tradition. There are unconfirmed reports people were trapped in the home when firefighters arrived and that two were taken to an area hospital. Several communities, including Boston, Westwood, Needham and Norwood helped Dedham fight the fire and offer mutual aid.Patch will bring you more information as it becomes available.

Firefighters from several communities knocked down a two-alarm fire early Saturday morning on Harding Terrace in Dedham. The fire started just after 6 a.m. Saturday morning at a home on Harding Terrace. Officials found heavy fire on the second floor of the building when they arrived.
