Two Men Charged in Connection to Dedham Armed Robbery
The Dorchester natives were arrested and charged with armed robbery.

Two men from Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood have been charged with armed robbery following an early morning incident in Dedham on Friday.
Police say the suspects were arrested after allegedly flashing a gun during a robbery around 6 a.m.
A description of the suspect vehicle led police to a residence on Fuller Street in Dorchester.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the suspected vehicle parked in a driveway. Police say investigators established surveillance in the area as the suspects were not immediately visible.
A short while later, four individuals were observed leaving the house. Police say they attempted to drive off in the vehicle, but officers moved in before they could do so. The occupants took off from the car when they observed officers approaching.

After a brief pursuit, the individuals were stopped before they could gain entry into the home, police say.
The robbery victim accompanied police to the scene and positively identified Dartanyan Pledger, 23, and Brian Joyce, 21, as the gun-wielding suspects.
Both Pledger and Joyce were arrested and charged with armed robbery. The incident remains under investigation.
