DS BOYS VARSITY CLINCH SOUTH DIVISION TITLE 3-0 OVER NANTUCKET

The DS boys (#11 seed) defeated number 1 seed, Nantucket
last night in Braintree with goals being scored by Senior Captain Sean Forward
12 minutes into the first half a feed from Senior Captain Walker Littlehale.    The Raiders continued holding the Nantucket Whalers to a 1-0 lead up to the second half when Senior Captain Steven Aston scored a header goal off a corner kick from Littlehale.  Finally, 55 minutes into the final game Junior mid-fielder Johnny Coutts sent in a rocket past Nantucket’s goalie again, assisted by Littlehale.   Junior Max Dunn had to make two fantastic saves one a direct shot; the other a corner tip.  The boys came on strong remembering last year
losing at this same game to Cardinal Spellman.  The Raiders advance, playing the north Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Stadium in Quincy.
