On Thursday, February 20th, Mahmud Jafri, CEO of Dover Rug & Home, was asked to speak at the Naturalization Ceremony held at Faneuil Hall where over 350 people from 35 nations were sworn in. The ceremony was conducted by Judge Frank J. Bailey, Presiding United States Judge for the oath taking.
Mr. Jafri is the recipient of the 2013 Immigrant Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by the Immigrant Learning Center (ILC) and has been appointed by Governor Deval Patrick to his Advisory Council on Immigrants and Refugees. He is a staunch advocate for immigration reform and is actively involved with the Massachusetts Immigration Refugee Advocacy (MIRA), which serves the Massachusetts' one million foreign-born residents.
