Easton Murder: Suspect Charged

EASTON, MA — A Florida man charged with murdering a man in Easton in November will be arraigned Tuesday after he was extradited back to Massachusetts. Michael Noguera, 47, of Lehigh Acres, was charged with murder, armed robbery, stealing a vehicle, and illegally carrying a gun.
Police said Noguera shot and killed Daniel Smith, 35, also of Lehigh Acres, Florida, in a trailed wooded area near Langwater Pond. A group of boys riding their bikes through the area stumbled across a gravely wounded Smith, police said. Smith was hospitalized and died three days later. The next day, Noguera was found living in a trailer on Canine Drive in Conway, South Carolina. He was extradited back to the Massachusetts last week and scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the shooting.
