3-Alarm Fire In Bourne: 1 Injured, 2 Officers Treated
Several people were saved from a fire on Sandwich Road Tuesday night.
BOURNE, MA — One person was injured and several others were rescued from a three-alarm fire in Bourne Tuesday night. Police responded to a reported structure fire at the multi-family home on Sandwich Road around 8:12 p.m., according to Bourne police.
Officers went inside and helped some of the occupants escape before encountering heavy smoke, police said. Two officers were evaluated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
One resident was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
