Cape Cod Football Player Flown To Hospital After Injury

Reports say the player suffered a severe injury at practice.

BOURNE, MA – A Cape Cod high school football player was flown to the hospital Tuesday after suffering a severe injury during practice, according to reports. Bourne fire officials told the Cape Cod Times they responded to the Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School football field around 4 p.m. and requested a Boston MedFlight helicopter.

The helicopter could not land due to fog, so the helicopter picked the player up at Beth Israel Deaconess and brought him to a Rhode Island hospital, the Times reported.

Officials could not provide details about the injuries, but they are not considered life-threatening, according to the Times.
