Cape Cod Gas Armed Robbery: Police Ask Public's Help

A knife-wielding man robbed a Cape Cod Gas station Monday, police said.

WAREHAM, MA — A knife-wielding man robbed Cape Cod Gas in Wareham Monday night, police said. The robbery happened at about 5:30 p.m. The gas station is located on Route 6.

"A masked male held a knife to the clerk, demanded cash, and fled the scene after receiving an undetermined amount of cash," Wareham police said in a statement.

The suspect is a white man about 5 feet, 7 inches. He's heavy-set, bald, and was wearing a black coat with writing on the left chest and shoulder areas, cargo sweatpants, and a cloth over his face. A security camera caught an image of him (above).

The suspect was on the loose as of Tuesday night.
