Cape Cod Heroin Dealer Caught After Weeks On The Run: Police

Cape Cod police said heroin dealer Jessica Calkins, of Brewster, went into hiding for several weeks before she was tracked down in Brockton.

BROCKTON, MA — A Cape Cod heroin dealer on the run for several weeks was finally captured in Brockton, according to police. Jessica Calkins, 24, of Brewster, was caught at a hotel after giving a fake name to officers, police said.

Calkins was wanted by Yarmouth police for two counts of heroin distribution, heroin possession, providing a false name to police and several vehicle offenses. Last month, she was featured as one of Yarmouth police's "most wanted" suspects.

On Thursday at about 11 a.m. at the Brockton Super 8 Hotel at the Westgate Mall, police said Brockton patrol officers noticed a suspicious vehicle and found Calkins sitting in the passenger seat. She gave a fake name, "Sarah Calkins," police said.

Yarmouth police said their most wanted program has resulted in fugitive arrests as far away as Florida.

"We encourage anyone with a warrant for their arrest to turn themselves in immediately and avoid being featured in our weekly public announcements," Yarmouth police said in a statement.
