Elizabeth Warren Presidency Puts Wind Turbine Industry In Peril

• As part of the transition to land-based wind turbine energy, Warren’s vowed to prohibit fossil fuels but at what costs?

Since the get-go, Warren has taken a strong stance on climate change and energy policy but look at what happened in her own state with major health issues in twenty-one communities over noise and shadow flicker.

• Wind turbine health effects range from hearing loss, nausea, and sleep disorders to dizziness, blood pressure, tinnitus, and yes even cancer from immune system deficiencies.

• The No. 1 problem with commercial megawatt wind turbines is health problems, such as chronic sleep loss and headaches. Senator Warren and Massachusetts officials and local boards of health have been aware of these problems since wind studies in 1987.

• Massachusetts under Senator Warren had a plan to install 2000 megawatts of commercial land-based wind turbines equal to over 1000 wind turbines by 2020.

• To date, Massachusetts has only installed around 60-megawatt wind turbines equal to around 130 megawatts a massive health fiasco.

• Falmouth Massachusetts is ground zero for poorly placed wind turbines in the United States. Congressman Thomas M. McClintock of California took Massachusetts Governor Charles D. Baker Jr. to task regarding the massive ongoing health and financial fiasco.

• At the Falmouth Board of Health Department Meeting, Minutes for 06-11-2012 shows 63 people/ respondents spoke. Of those 47 people reported health effects from the turbines. 41, or about 85% reported sleep disturbance, 25 reported stress, 21 reported mental health problems, 2 reported suicide attempt or ideation.

• The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, as well as the local board of health, took no action to protect the health.

• The resident homeowners living around the commercial industrial wind turbines were left to fend for themselves hiring attorneys while state and town officials attempted to outspend them in court to keep the turbines operational.

• The Massachusetts courts shut down the Falmouth wind turbines in June of 2017.

• The Falmouth turbines were illegally funded with stimulus funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

• Senator Warren continues to allow the turbines to be moved to a new location creating yet another substantial and specific danger to public health or safety related to the implementation or use of covered ARRA funds.

• Senator Warren is a wind turbine advocate not an advocate of your health and property rights.
