Fake Oxycodone Pills Lead To Charges For Cape Cod Man
The counterfeit oxycodone made with fentanyl was found in a 28-year-old Cape Cod resident's car, leading to trafficking charges.
YARMOUTH, MA — Police on Cape Cod seized a number of counterfeit oxycodone pills made with fentanyl during a search warrant earlier this week.
Yarmouth Police Detectives, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Cape Cod Resident Office, executed a search warrant Monday afternoon at a South Yarmouth residence located off Route 28, officials said.
A police dog was also deployed during the search, who found more than 10 grams of counterfeit oxycodone made from fentanyl in the suspect’s car.

"An increasing number of counterfeit pills may contain lethal amounts of fentanyl and are extremely dangerous because they often appear identical to real prescription pills," officials said.
Ajaydus Cruz, 28, of South Yarmouth, was charged with trafficking in more than 10 grams of fentanyl. He was arraigned Tuesday morning at Barnstable District Court.
