Falmouth Commodores Overcome Hyannis Rally With Walk Off Double
Catcher Maverick Handley won Falmouth the game 4-3 on a walk-off double.

FALMOUTH, MA — For a second, it looked like the Falmouth Commodores were going to have to play extra innings. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks rallied back against the Commodores in the top of the ninth inning after being down 3-0.
Falmouth was riding their 3 run lead into the top of the 9th inning, but Reliever Jack Little couldn't get it done in the save situation. The offense was there in the bottom of the ninth though to pick up the win for Little.
Left Fielder Will Brennan singled to start the bottom of the ninth inning for Falmouth. Brennan was thrown out at second the next play, but Shortstop Logan Davidson advanced to first on the fielder's choice.

Next batter, the game was over. Catcher Maverick Handley won Falmouth the game 4-3 on a walk-off double.
Hyannis scored all their runs in the top of the ninth inning. Two runs from the Harbor Hawk's rally were driven in with doubles from William Holland and Adam Elliot. Eric Rivera also added a sacrifice fly.

Pitching for both teams was good enough to win in this low scoring game, but Falmouth's starter Mitchell Stone gave his team five scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Falmouth Reliever Jack Little struggled giving up all three Hyannis runs in their rally, but finished with the win for the Commodores.
Hyannis Starting Pitcher Houston Roth pitched 4 innings giving up two runs. He finished with five strikeouts. Reliever Brett Schulze ended up with the loss giving up the walk off double with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning.
The Falmouth Commodores improve their record to 13-13-1 on the season and are currently tied for third place in the Cape Cod League's West Divison. Their next game is 6 p.m. tonight at home against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox.
