Falmouth Crash Knocks Out Power to 800+

A two-vehicle crash in Falmouth on Route 28 Thursday knocked out power after a truck hit a utility pole.

FALMOUTH, MA — A two-vehicle crash in Falmouth on Route 28 Thursday afternoon knocked out power to more than 800. The crash was reported at about 1 p.m. on the East Falmouth Highway near John Parker Road. One of the vehicles involved in the crash, a work truck, knocked over a utility pole. No one was hurt.

As of 9 p.m., there still 286 without power, according to Eversource, and a section of Route 28 was still closed. Police said the scene should be cleared before midnight. An estimated time for full power restoration was unavailable.
