Falmouth Hit-And-Run Injures 2, Prompts Search For Driver

FALMOUTH, MA — A husband and wife were taken to a hospital on Monday night after they were struck by a motorcycle while crossing the street in Falmouth.

Police were called to the area near Estia restaurant on Main Street just after 8:45 p.m. on Monday. Officials said the couple were hit by the motorcycle while they were crossing the street within the marked crosswalk.

The husband a wife, both Falmouth residents in their 60s, were taken to area hospitals, and police continue to search for the driver.

Officials said the motorcyclist was able to get his motorcycle off the road before he fled into a wooded area behind Falmouth Town Hall.

The crash remains under investigation.
