📰 News we're reading
• Pending state legislation could make mental health care access easier (capeandislands.org) — A Falmouth resident, Gwyneth Packard, is helping lead a grassroots push for Massachusetts to join PsyPact, which would let psychologists continue treating patients across state lines via telehealth. Lawmakers say the measure, now in conference committee, could pass soon and would especially benefit remote regions like the Cape and Islands. Local providers still stress that housing costs and staffing shortages remain major barriers to in‑person mental health care.
