Falmouth Home Burglary Suspect Caught in the Act: ICYMI
Christopher Lopes, of Falmouth, is suspected of breaking into multiple Falmouth homes, police said.
FALMOUTH, MA — A suspect in a series of home burglaries in Falmouth was caught in the act Tuesday night, according to police. Christopher Lopes, 46, was arrested inside an unoccupied Grasmere home, police said, adding they are investigating his possible involvement in several more recent home burglaries in Falmouth.
"Police developed information that a suspect was planning to break into homes in the Grasmere neighborhood of Falmouth on Tuesday night," police said in a statement. "Officers fanned the neighborhood and located the suspect, Christopher Lopes, inside a residence."
Lopes, who had two warrants, was charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools. Police said he gained access to the Grasmere home by using a pry tool to bust open a door.

Falmouth police and a Barnstable County Sheriff's K-9 unit worked together to arrest Lopes.
