The man was charged with animal cruelty after police said he put razor blades into a park tree and used peanut butter as bait.

FALMOUTH, MA — Police arrested a Falmouth man who lured animals to razor blades at a local park. The man placed razor blades into a tree at Goodwill Park and put peanut butter around them as bait, according to police.

The suspect, who was not identified, was charged with animal cruelty, wanton/reckless behavior and wanton injury to public trees/shrubs.

He was arraigned Tuesday in Falmouth District Court.
