Falmouth Man Caught With Stolen Chainsaw, Crack Cocaine: PD

Falmouth police said they seized crack cocaine and stolen tools, including a chainsaw and leafblowers, from Gregory Hazelton, 37.

FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth man was arrested after police said he was caught with crack cocaine, a stolen chainsaw and other tools. Just before 11 a.m. Sunday, police tried to pull over Gregory Hazelton, 37, because he had a warrant for his arrest.

Police said Hazelton sped away in a 1999 Ford dump truck through a neighborhood off of Old Barnstablre Road. For safety reasons and because the officer knew who Hazelton was, police said they did not chase after Hazelton.

Police said they later found the dump truck abandoned on private property near Hazelton's home on Antone Avenue. Inside the truck, police said they found crack cocaine, stolen tools including leaf blowers and a chainsaw, and Hazelton's driver's license and phone.
