Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. HYANNIS, MA – A Falmouth man is accused of intentionally setting fires Wednesday morning at the construction site of the new Hyannis fire station. Allen Beckwith, 25, faces three counts of arson in connection with fires in an excavator and two mobile offices.Officers responded to the site on High School Road around 12:20 a.m. and found the excavator "fully engulfed in flames," Barnstable police said in a statement. They also found two smaller fires under temporary office trailers.One of the officers saw a man, later identified as Beckwith, inside the fenced construction site and chased him to a nearby pharmacy. The Hyannis Fire Department responded and extinguished the fires. No injuries were reported. Investigators allege Beckwith entered the construction site, broke into a storage container and set the fires. He also faces charges of breaking and entering in the night with intent to commit a felony, trespassing and a probation warrant.
