Betsy's Diner To Stay Open In Falmouth
A vintage diner on Main Street that was expected to be torn down will instead remain open. Betsy's Diner closed Jan. 19, and the property was sold to a developer who planned to "start from scratch." Those plans appear to have changed. Read more here.

Woman Charged In MAGA Hat Dispute Facing Deportation
Federal immigration authorities detained a woman charged in an altercation over a "Make America Great Again" hat. Rosiane Santos, 41, is accused of accosting a man at a Mexican restaurant in Falmouth. Read more here.

Bad Martha Brewery Eyes Summer Opening In Falmouth
A Martha's Vineyard-based brewery is planning to open its East Falmouth location this summer. Bad Martha Farmer's Brewery is expecting to open in "late July or early August," a brewery manager posted on a local Facebook group. Read more here.

Maggot Claim At Falmouth Chinese Restaurant Unsubstantiated
Health officials could not find evidence to support a woman's claim that a Falmouth Chinese restaurant had maggots in its food. In a May 1 Facebook post that was shared on local social media groups, the woman asked if the food at Golden Sails costs "extra for the maggots." Read more here.
