Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. BOURNE, MA — A woman was killed in a crash in Bourne Thursday afternoon, police said. Rosemarie Machado, 55, of New Bedford, was driving on Route 25 west near Exit 3 when, for an unknown reason, she veered off the road, police said. Her Pontiac Aztek hit a snowbank and rolled over. Police said Good Samaritans who saw the crash got out of their vehicles and administered CPR to the Machado. She was transported to Tobey Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
